Important Announcement About ITKF Summer Camp 2014

Dear ITKF National Federation Members:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the dates of the 2014 ITKF International Summer Camp have been changed from July to June 13th – 18th, 2014. Master Hiroshi Shirai has notified this office that due to health issues, he will be unable to attend. Please see attached letter.

However, the good news is that a new venue for the Camp has been secured – an island in the world-famous elite community of the Hamptons in Long Island, New York. This island offers a beautiful and tranquil setting, the perfect site for serious training, devoid of outside distractions. Additionally, this new venue is also more affordable ( $ 600 only! not including Master course) Early registration is highly recommended as space is limited. Please see attached Camp registration information.

As usual, this world renowned Camp continues in the tradition of offering the highly technical Masters’ Course that will be taught by the ITKF Technical Committee to members who wish to attain or elevate their technical qualifications. This Camp will also be the site of the ITKF Board of Directors’ and Technical Committee meetings.

The 2nd Nishiyama Cup will cap the weeklong training, giving attendees a chance to participate in friendly but spirited competition with many of the top international athletes who traditionally come to Camp in preparation for upcoming ITKF competitions such as the ITKF World Championship in November in Cairo, Egypt.

This is a great opportunity for all students, athletes, instructors and technical officials of every member national federation to improve physical skills as well as gain a deeper understanding of the Budo aspect of our art in a beautiful setting.

If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact us anytime.
